LM-TIPS Content

At the moment i have started to put together some of the content for the site on Google Docs.

I am planning to do the vast majority of the content writing there until it is ready to be placed into LM-TIPS. This has been the way i have done most of my content work recently.  It allows me to easily share the work with those who are contributing or allows me to contribute to other peoples pages.

At the moment i have over 30 pages to work on as a starting point. I have still not decided which will be launched and which will not be included. There are so many things i plan to add to the site including getting as many free scripts online.

I am a huge fan of Open-Source so as much of the site as is possible will be Open-Source. I will make any of my own scripts available for use and editing and will hopefully get some extra user input.

If you have any ideas for content for LM-TIPS or feel you have something to offer to the site then i would really appreciate an email. I will look at all offers and if I see examples of work I will be sure to give it a link back on the final version.

The LM-TIPS email is : info*@*lmtips.co.uk  (remove the * from the address)

100% Valid – LM-TIPS 9/9

I have actually managed to put a lot more time into my redevelopment of LM-TIPS than I first anticipated i would manage. Over the last few days I have managed to put together what will hopefully be my final layout for the site.

Although fairly simple I have made the layout to be easy to understand, simple to update and overall functional. These were exactly what I wanted in the layout and were what I ended up with. With a layout made I have then worked to Validate my HTML and CSS so that the site performs 100% how it should and no (or as few) errors as possible appear on the site.

Now that the site is designed in a simple HTML state I am planning to put together the layout in PHP. This will be the language that is finally used on the site and will allow for the quickest updates and changes to the website.

LM-TIPS Development 06/09

Well as i said yesterday i am going to be working with Dunbar Domains to get LM-TIPS back online and better than it has ever been before.

Already I have started some work on ideas for what will be going into the website, looking at my overall topics and then the internal content that will help make the site more helpful than ever before. However I also decided to slightly change the logo for this relaunch bellow is the before and after for LM-TIPS:

Before :

After:

Now there is clearly very little difference to the original but it is enough of a change to fit in with what I want. I will be able to take this logo and work it into a new design with new functionality.

Keep watching

LM-TIPS – My first website

The first website that I personally created was LM-TIPS, it was initially on Piczo and then moved to Free Webs(now Webs).  It was then one of the first websites to move to Dunbar Domains when they launched.

Initially it was created to offer website building tips and free "codes" or cursors to the Piczo user communtiy and then later evolved to help people start up their first websites and build them up to become more and more popular.
At its peak LMTIPS had roughly 100 tutorials and scripts for free use.

However in mid 2008 i started work on other projects and started to neglect the website, it was then that we decided to transfer the website to Dunbar Domains and allow them to build the website up further and further.

This failed as Dunbar Domains got massive interest and growth which removed all non priority projects from the diary.

However this week I have taken back the website and have started to plan the future of how I want to improve the website. I am planning on creating some great tutorials with the support of the current site users and Dunbar Domains experts.

I will keep you all up to date with my progress but I will admit now that it will probably be 2-3months before I make any changes to the website at all.

Quiet weekend

I am trying to get back into my posting so I am setting myself a few goals for my blogs. I have a few set posts for LMBLOG and will try to keep my life on this blog where i have spare time.

I like blogging and i am adapting my blogging style and content as I move forward in my life. Changes in my life are what I will hopefully blog about over the next few months/weeks.

Anyway this weekend has been pretty quiet and I have enjoyed a nice relaxing time instead of the old routine of Saturday working and then sometimes also working on Sunday.

I have hopefully got all of next week of before I go on holiday on Friday which would be great as I really need a relaxing time off. I have many huge ideas for my future but only time will tell if they will succeed.
